#Haiku Friday: Challenge 80

“Is it fear that has kept you away from the song in the wind and the waves”

(Jason Upton, Beautiful People)

There’s friendship waiting

Take my hand for a fresh start

Forgive and Forget

“One dimensional eyes, they never see the truth”

(Jason Upton, All things are possible)

In screams of dying

You live within the hurting

Working in own style.

“No mind can comprehend a love that has no end”

(Jason Upton, I will never leave you children)

I was listening to the CD by Jason Upton titled “Beautiful people” – which is why you have all the quotes in here and the two Haiku were also inspired as such. The music has been a comfort to me. The above YouTube was the best audio I could find of one of the tracks. One should actually listen to it with eyes closed.

One last thought for the day:

Depression is a vampire of an animal leaching on to drain you of each drop of life left in your veins. As you struggle to free yourself you lose what precious energy left. It’s time to talk about it so it will not consume you whole and you find vitality return from the most unlikely sources – your friends.
